The Forma 0.1.0 prototype keeps an order’s operations, planner-approved schedule and actual work records in one history. The team can see what was planned, what is complete and where the plan needs adjustment.
- Duration estimates that can be checked against actual work
- The model suggests operation times for a planner to review before approving the plan. Recorded actual time lets the team compare the estimate with completed work.
- Work sequences that respect dependencies
- Rules select the route and schedule operations around dependencies and work-centre availability. The planner reviews and approves the durations before work is created.
- A record that follows the people doing the work
- The prototype records progress, actual time and notes. A planned phone interface would turn voice reports about work, materials and problems into employee-confirmed updates.
